Of Italian origin, Dr. Cristina Bertollini graduated in 2003 from the University of Rome and in 2007 she obtained her doctorate in Neurophysiology from the same university. She then won several post-doctoral fellowships and worked as a researcher at the Institut National de la Santé et de la Recherche Médicale (INSERM) in Marseille (France), the Center for Investigation and Advanced Studies (CINVESTAV) in Mexico (Mexico), the Department of Human Physiology and Pharmacology at the University of Rome (Italy), and at the Centre Médical Universitaire (CMU) in Geneva (Switzerland). His research focuses on the study of memory and learning mechanisms as well as on the analysis of the underlying mechanisms of certain neuronal dysfunctions generally associated with various neurological pathologies, such as epilepsy, and psychiatric pathologies, such as schizophrenia. Her passion for nutrition led her to attend a school of holistic nutrition in Geneva and, after graduating with great success, she became a professor of neurodegenerative pathologies in the courses of pathologies applied to nutrition, in the same school. She is currently working as a holistic nutritionist specializing in neuronutrition, a holistic preventive and therapeutic approach useful for optimizing brain and mind function.
